Did you think it weird he played 'It's A Shame,' after he announced that Trevor Nelson was doing the 2-4 slot from next week? I thought it was!

I don't listen to radio 2 so have no idea but I love a bit of shade 🤭 - you always get it on radio 1

It's very rare these days for a DJ to choose the running order of the songs they play so I very much doubt there was any hidden meaning.
