Child in 2 Injury incidents in 3 months

My child has been attending nursery now for 3 months, they are 2 years old. Back in November they came home with a bite mark on their leg - the mark was still visible 12 hours later but gone by the morning - yesterday they came home with scratches on their face from another child -

This is my first experience with anything like this - is it the norm? Do things like this happen and its just how it is at this age?

Normal IMO.

Normal.

Honestly? Completely normal.

Got 2 kids that went through nursery from 9 months til reception and DS seemed to have an incident on average fortnightly ( and don't even ask about the accident forms 😅). DD was less but 2 in 3 months wouldn't even register to be honest. Especially for 2 year olds who don't have any impulse control, may struggle with speech, communication and frustration etc.

I think you are doing well with just those 2 incidents!

Totally normal I’m afraid - little grabbing hands and sharp nails! My son was definitely bitten a few times too.

Ah that's a relief - i just didn't want to be ignoring and issue but on the flip side i didn't want to that parent who over reacts!

Thanks All :)
