So , in 2023 I was a healthy ish weight at 10st 4 being 5 ft 2 , aged 55 after years of being overweight and being an alcohol abuser I finally got my life back on track , then I started putting on weight and being constipated inspite of no change in diet and no alcohol…..
saw my gp last year so many times , diagnosed with Underactive thyroid but inspite of increased dose of levothyroxine I’m still really struggling having put on a stone and a half ,
I realise that if I put on any more weight I’d weigh enough ( in principle) for weight loss drugs ( which I don’t want)
so my question is , why doesn’t my gp want to help me to get my weight back to a healthy level ? and to avoid the obvious mental health decline which connects me back to the alcohol problem I had before ?
