How long for a broken Rib?

How long did it take for you to get over a broken Rib?

Doctors very helpfully said I'd feel better after 1-2 weeks and i could work when I felt able.

I'm 1.5 weeks in. I'm still in a lot of pain, the thought of going to work makes me feel sick (im a teacher,). I just about did a day without painkillers yesterday, but didn't really move much.

Am I being a woss?

It really bloody hurts.

Emmm...mine still ached for about 18 months, on and off. 😬

I had 4 broken ribs after an accident and it took several months to heal.
Ive never felt pain like it.

It took me three weeks before I could breathe properly again. It's the most painful thing and I really feel for you. Don't go back to work until you are able to because once you are back you will be shown no mercy!

Oh! Definitely not being a woss if i can only get out for a short walk once a day then?
