I don't usually like the lion king movies but I found it very good. Some of the songs are not very good but other than that

SauvignonBlonk · 13/01/2025 22:22

It was alright DD12 gave it 9/10. I’d give it 4/10. I preferred Moana 2.

catlovingdoctor · 13/01/2025 22:22

I really liked it and I haven't even seen the Lion King!

sleepfortheweek · 13/01/2025 22:26

Yes I loved it! I went with my 10yo and 7yo and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. A couple of the songs are great and some are a bit meh, but the storyline is good and it was pretty tense throughout!

argyllherewecome · 13/01/2025 22:31

I thought it was pretty crap. I can't see how it would appeal to young children, there wasn't enough speed/action and the songs were village pub circa 1970 style. It's like watching a poorer quality David Attenborough documentary.

BrainFrog · 13/01/2025 22:35

I thought it was alright, but it wasn't as good as I hoped it would be.

circusmonkey65 · 13/01/2025 22:41

I liked it. It's a good prequel. The songs are nowhere near as iconic as The Lion King songs though.

Starlightstargazer · 14/01/2025 13:17

I liked it but thought it was a bit long. Every time it looked like they had reached home, another set of scenes started!

Xmasisoverboohoo · 14/01/2025 13:23

The songs are pretty bad, I was actually shocked some of them got signed off! The 'bye bye' song from the baddie, deary me 🫣 Other than that it's worth a watch.

Octaviathethird · 14/01/2025 13:52

I enjoyed it very much, as did my daughter, but the songs were terrible!
