Splash vests for holidays

Does anyone have any recommendations for splash vests please? We are going on our first "resort holiday" and I'm thinking about taking float vests for the children. They're 5 and 7, but both petite (7 year old is in 5-6 for example) and learning to swim. 7 year old is not confident. I will of course be supervising them constantly and will be in the pool with them. My mum is coming with us and I don't want to depend on having 2 adults in the pool all the time as its a reasonable assumption that she will need some downtime from me and the little ones. I'm thinking about float vests for my peace of mind and their confidence.

I'm looking at the splashabout ones, there are two kinds- the removable float ones and the non removable. The non removable float ones do seem to be aimed towards packing for holidays, but are there additional benefits of the removable even if they are bulkier?

Or has anyone positive feedback about brands that aren't splashabout? I'm aware they're pricier, but willing to pay the extra if they're safer/well recommended.

Am I being overly anxious and regular arm bands will be fine? I do err on the side of anxiety, so if I'm being ridiculous please do say.

We have a splash about vest with non removable float for our 5 year old and it's brilliant.

We used puddle jumpers because they can only be undone at the back so no chance of removal. You are absolutely right to go with safety as a priority, arm bands can be removed very easily and don’t actually work too well at keeping kids a float in my opinion.

We also use the splash about vests with non removable floats for our 5 and 3 year olds. They love them - gives them real confidence in the water and I have a bit more peace of mind when I’m on my own with both. I do get both to spend time in the water without them when we’re 1:1.

The 5yo also uses a swim fin at swimming lessons and likes that but for holidays I’d really recommend the splash about vests.
