Anyone with an IKEA malm bed?

Is it kind of low to the ground?

Basically we’re getting our 3yo a ‘big boy’ bed as he gets into our bed anyway! And has outgrown his cot bed really he’s quite tall and moves a lot of a night

I do think a double would be good as it’d do him for years and this has drawers so extra storage in our smallish house

ive Checked the measurements it seems fine and I would have a bed guard on anyway

Injust wondered anyone who’d assembled one and has one would it be low enough for a 3yo do you think? Or will I build it and it seem way bigger haha

It’s low enough (got one for our 3 year old) make sure you put corner / padded protectors on the edges as the corners are bastards and we still have scarred shins to show for it 5 years on. Storage is a huge plus!

Yep it's low. BUT it has a ledge all around the outside which has caused many a bruised leg over the past few years.
