How can I maintain diet after surgery?

I've tried so hard to do weights and steps - it's finally working and now I have to have unexpected eye surgery that will require me to not move for a week or so. Is there anything I can do to burn calories / maintain strength and weight loss without moving from my stomach? I can't think of anything!

Which bits are you not allowed to move and why? E.g. could you do sitting weights and sitting leg raises etc?

It's eye surgery so I have to lie in particular postures - these seem to be on my stomach or side with head down.

Probably not a huge amount you can do then. Try to not worry about it and pick it up when you're feeling better. Good luck.

A week or so won't make much difference to your strength and fitness. Just keep a close eye on the amount of calories you're taking in

True, I might fast 800 while I'm stuck not moving

That might not help your body to recover. I'm not saying stuff your face but 800 calories for a recovering body might not be great.

I haven’t been able to exercise properly since last summer for various reasons. I’ve had to focus more on diet and the weight has came off faster than before.

Smaller portions, intermittent fasting and reduced sugar has helped a lot for me.

Thanks this is all great advice!
