Had my annual review at work, only been in the role 4 months and my line manager said he was thrilled with my work so far

I get to have a lie in tomorrow!

I work in plastic surgery dept at a hospital and we have a clinic for Bell's. It's lovely to see people when they start to recover then follow their improvements. @LittleRedRidingHoody I hope your holiday is everything you wish it to be. Sending love & light.

My good news is that I managed to tell my boss, without sounding whiny or entitled, that they'd been a bit rubbish, and they not only agreed, but put the problem right, and apologised! That's a big thing for someone who's highly confrontation averse. My boss, by the way, is lovely, what they did was just a bit thoughtless.

My good news is also Friday 🥳
It hasn't snowed today, for the first time in a week, and it's meant to be 10°C by Monday so no commuting in the snow next week.
It's 10th January (I've not had any booze for 9 days), only 21 more days of Dry January left 🍾 not that I'm counting much....
