PIP Tribunal - anyone know if the new amount will be backdated

I just found out online that my appeal at tribunal has been approved. Before I was getting the standard daily living part but now I will be getting that plus enhanced mobility rate. It says i will be getting the new amount from 31 Jan 2025 to 2027.

Has anyone any idea if this new amount will be backdated to when I applied to go to the Tribunal (I think that was last Aug or Sept) or start from 31 Jan? I reported a change in circumstances last spring. This was turned down. I asked for a mandatory reconsideration which was also turned down and then took it to tribunal who overturned the DWPs decision . I am so relieved to be getting this as it will make such a difference. Thanks

In my experience it will be backdated. But that was some years ago, so things may have changed.

Mine was a tribunal for refused Employment support allowance - I won the tribunal and the backdated benefit was paid to when I first claimed.

Thanks TitchyBiteroo.

Glad you won your case. I think I’ll just have to wait and see as there’s a few dates it could be backdated from, if it’s backdated at all - when my tribunal application was dated or when my change of circumstances application was dated, or even when my mandatory reconsideration form was dated. I’m just relieved I won the tribunal to be fair.
