California holiday

So. Had been planning a California road trip this summer with a 5 day stay in LA.

Haven't actually booked yet and now I'm thinking so waiting another year, due to the devastation of the fires

However I have just heard on the news that the knock on effect to the tourist industry will make things worse for people.

I'm really torn. Would you go this summer or wait till

I think you need to wait a bit. Its too early to know the impact yet. The situation is still happening.

I’d wait.
We took a school party to New York in the July after the severe flooding in Oct 2012. Some things were still not open to visitors after all that time including the 9/11 museum (as it’s nearly all underground).
It may take ages for California to get back on its feet.

I hadn't booked as I hadn't completely decided on this summer or next. (Kids ages). I was 85% sure on this year.

Really think I have to wait another year but j feel so terrible for the people effected
