House was on market. Estate agent lied to us repeatedly about quite significant stuff so we disinstructed them and planned to give the house a rest and relaunch at a lower price in spring. We told the agent they were no longer instructed and to please stop sending out property details to any potential buyers, 2 months ago.
I've just discovered that they are mailing out our house to potential buyers. This is going to impact our relaunch strategy as the whole point was to stop it being seen by potential buyers for a while before going back to market.
Found out as one of the recipients is someone I know. Our house doesn't even fit with what they are looking for, so clearly the agent is just sending it out indiscriminately.
Have asked them to provide details of everyone they've sent it to since we disinstructed them and they haven't provided details.
I'm fairly sure this is a breach of GDPR. But as estate agents aren't regulated I'm not sure what I can do about it. I doubt the ICO will care. I'm fuming!
