I’ve spent most of my adult life halfway around the world, but now I can actually see the hospital I was born in from my study window.

My father in law was born and died in the same bed, in the same bedroom! 76 years apart.

Same town as we felt we needed to be near my family as they grew older. Later today I will be visiting their former neighbourhood to see friends. It does feel strange to be near the old house, where I was actually born but the memories are happy and the fact I'm friends with their neighbours who only knew them in later life is comforting.
