Smart watch for child with SEN

DD8 suspected SEN, intellectual but really struggles with getting ready for school on time. Leaves everything to the last minute then has a meltdown because she's running late. Very very black and white about rules (apart from those set by me, apparently....)

She wants a smart watch to track steps, enjoys borrowing mine to get a heart rate reading etc. I want to find one which I can set alarms on from an app on my phone, eg. every day at 8.15 'Brush Hair' - I think this will really help her - if the watch says it's time, then it's time! Grandparents will buy it as a birthday present. I have seen Fitbit Ace and Garmin Vivifit Jnr - does anyone have one and can tell me if they are suitable?

Thanks

We got Dd a Garmin jnr, she's outgrown it a bit now as she's nearly 11 and feels it's a bit young.

It was great when she was 8 though. The app is very easy, there's a parent and a child view, as a parent 8 could set alarms, add chores and assign them points so she could collect points for rewards, she could see her steps and participate in challenges posted in the kids version of the app.

It was also pretty cheap in comparison to other smart watches so felt like a good short ish term option to see how she's like a smart watch.

I got it from Smyths toys online with a heavy discount.

Thank you, that's helpful. I think it's my preference but doesn't have the heart rate tracker. That's a novelty which she will forget about I'm sure. Does the garmin track sleep?
