Does anyone know from experience if universal credit payment date can be changed?

I'm disabled and have recently gone over to universal credit and will be paid on the 11th of each month.

I have been though all my bills and direct debits and all except three of them are after the 11th so that's ok, but I have three direct debits that come out on the 4th of each month, I have conteacted them to ask if I can change the date the direct debits come out to the 11th instead of the 4th and they said they can't change the date of them.

They total £120, Which means i will have to pay it,then put the money away to pay again the next month out of one payment of uc and i really can't afford to pay £240 each month out of one payment of UC.

Can the date of uc be changed?

Try putting the question in your journal. But once you put aside £120 you're not doing it twice every month.

You can ask uc to split the payment and have payment twice a month if that would help?
