Hi

Im 9 weeks pregnant and I phoned the doctors today to ask if it was ok to be on the medication for my mental health and he said he had looked it up and thought so but was going to refer me to the obstetrics to double check does this sound normal and has this happened to anyone else? I didn’t think this is what they were for

Yes normal to get an obstetrician involved if some meds are involved.

eg I had an obstetrician in one of my pregnancies as I had bad asthma, including taking prednisolone in early pregnancy and being monitored by a specialist was recommended. I was under consultant care all the way through to post natal.
