DD1 is at a preschool nursery. On the primary school application form it has a section before you list your school preferences for “current school”.

Do I put the school the nursery is at there? Google AI says yes but I’m not sure how accurate that is 🤨

I am aware that her attending the nursery is not taken into consideration when awarding places, but this question has thrown me a bit.

I would just put her nursery in there

It's probably the same form that's used for in-year transfers.

I'd also put her nursery in but, as you've noted, it won't make any difference anyway.

Yes just put which nursery she is at. The school she gets a place at will know which nursery she is from and can arrange things like a visit to all the children in that setting, or can speak to the current setting about the children who are coming to them. I manage transition to reception at my school and it's handy to know where they are all coming from.

Yes I put DS's nursery in that section. When our school was allocated they sent his nursery lots of welcome bits to pass on to him.
