London with a toddler

I'm planning on joining DH on a work trip to London and as the room costs the same whether it's one or three of us, we would only need to pay for mine and DS (age 2) flights.

I'd be on my own with him through the daytimes.
What would you recommend that is toddler friendly and isn't a two-man job.
Also nice child friendly places for lunch or picnic spots maybe?

We'd be staying around Canary wharf and ideally wouldn't want to use the underground on my own, Bus and overground train would be fine though.

Don’t even need to leave Canary Wharf- Mudlarks at the museum

Canary Wharf underground has good step free access. Why not use the map to plan things you can do via other step free stations so you don't have to get him out of the pram. That makes it v low stress off peak (much easier than buses which are extremely slow)

From Canary Wharf you can get an Uber Boat either way which is fun. If you go down river you can get to Greenwich. Up river you can get to London Eye where the London Aquarium is and also a playground at Jubilee Gardens and then you can also walk along to The South Bank Centre where there are some toddler friendly restaurants like Giraffe. When mine were toddlers they just liked going on the boat.
