A long shot, but does anyone who works at the Durham passport office or know someone who does know when it is likely to re-open?
I just called the passport office and they were unable to tell me.
I need an urgent renewal as I need a new job and would rather go in person than send it through the post. I know that there is a fast track service but I don't trust the post at all and don't want it to get lost.
