Sunday night routines

Does anyone have any nice, comforting routines on Sunday evenings, from about 5pm onwards.. to ward off the Sunday blues?

Have young DC so can’t be anything too decadent, but I have promised myself I will do something to tackle this weekly dread-fest in 2025!

I always have a bath on sunday night and paint my nails. I also shave my legs so Im all ship shape for the week. I sort uniforms, make sure that there's bread out of the freezer. The prep makes me happy. Then I try to get an early night! Obv I don't always manage it!

We do dessert/pudding with a movie after dinner on Sundays.

Always a lovely long bath! I get my salts or bath bombs, oils, etc., out and pop them in. Candles lit, some nice music on and I have a good soak. Fresh pj's afterwards, some skin care, and then I settle down to read on the sofa under a nice comfy blanket.

Dinner is often something easy and comfort-foody. Tonight was jacket spuds with beans and cheese, but my favourite in the winter is colcannon. Summertime it's usually a salmon salad, just throwing stuff in a bowl and frying the fish, maybe a few warm new potatoes.

DH gets out clothes for the next day (for all of us, I tell him what I want), and then we settle down for an episode of something funny we both like. We always do a nice pot of loose tea, too. Tonight it's Moondrops (I think that's the name) from Bird & Blend.
