The Telepathy Tapes - podcast

Has anyone else listened to this? It’s about certain non-verbal neurodivergent people whose families and teachers claim that they have telepathic abilities.

It sounds about as “out there” as it gets, but I genuinely don’t know what to think having listened to this.

For the record, I came to the podcast because it was on “popular shows” and I clicked on it - I don’t know any non-verbal people.

i've just started listening to this based on your post. It's pretty mind blowing! I'm on episode 3 now but completely floored by how accurate the testing/outcomes are so far. I'll come back when I've finished....

Sounds interesting, I once took park in a research project at the Koestler Parapsychology Unit and my experiences during the trials and testing really did make me think that telepathy could very well exist. Interestingly the outcome was that students of art and music were more likely to be successful subjects in telepathy tests than STEM students and I do think that at least of Art Students a higher percentage of them could be ND. I would think that if it does exist that its an ability we all have but that perhaps some people filter it out more.

I've also had some dreams which have turned out to be true not premonitions (so don't ask me for next weeks lottery numbers) but things that have happened to friends and family at a distance and then before they tell me in reality I've dreamt that they either told me about it or had a dream about it happening. I'm pretty sure such things are more common that we realise.

I do have a ND diagnosis.

Forgive me for not articulating this very well as I'm not well educated, but scientists have conducted experiments around quantum theory where results have been influenced by an experiment conducted on another part of the earth. I'll try and find the YouTube video I found about it. The world is far stranger than we realise. I think the term used for such theories is 'quantum entanglement'.

I'm ND and I often know when a friend or relative is going to contact me. Perhaps I'm picking up on their thoughts or perhaps I'm influencing their thoughts and nudging them to make contact.

Something really strange happened a few weeks ago with my younger son who is also ND.

I visited a shop near to my home and dh asked if we should get a pizza to cook at home. I was standing directly in front of the pizza cabinet. I just started to message my son to ask if he wanted a pizza bringing down to his hall of residence a couple of miles away. Literally in that same moment I received a message from him asking to visit this shop to bring him a pizza! I laughed a lot and sent him a photo of the pizza cabinet I just happened to be standing in front of. A coincidence? Perhaps, but it was certainly a super specific one.

I think that a certain level of 'telepathy' exists between people and that we all experience it very mildly - the pizza example above, the thinking about someone you haven't seen for ages and then the phone rings... For me, I often get a glimpse of someone I haven't seen in a while - in the street for example - and on second glance, it isn't then. But then within a few days, I will often see them.

But this is on a whole other scale. IF we are to believe in everything and take the whole podcast at face value, it is a game-changer. I see on their website that they are trying to fund a documentary - I hope it goes ahead.

I’ve just finished listening to all episodes, and it is compelling. Looking forward to the next release.

Bump

I know telepathy exists, since I know of two cases where my DM knew exact details of a family member’s experience (distress or trauma) from a very long distance away. These cases were decades apart, and they weren’t a case of ‘wise after the event ‘ - both times she dreamt them and told us at the time* - the facts were heard only some time later.
*I’m talking decades ago, long before email or cheap long distance phone calls - it was a case of waiting for letters.

Given that I never heard of any other case except concerning acute distress/trauma, her ability could obviously never have been proved under lab conditions.

People invariably scoff, but IMO it’s ludicrous to dismiss the whole idea, when you think what the cheapest old radio can pick up - and compare that to the sheer complexity of the human brain - they still don’t know what every bit of it does. (And I have that from a nephew with a neuroscience PhD.)
My DM was always a hyper-sensitive type, though, which TBH could make her difficult to live with.

It looks like there has been some backlash against the podcast taking the position that families of children with special needs are being taken advantage of.

This happens to me with the seeing people but I will see them within the next few minutes. It’s got to the point where I’m like “that’s X…oh no, that’s not them. But then where is X…oh, there they are!” as they walk round the corner towards me.

A few times my mum has given me something as a present that was exactly the thing I was thinking about needing, but had never mentioned to anyone. And completely random things, too. Say I was in a shop on my own and looked at a jug and thought “hmm, I need one like that, but glass and a bit bigger” and then when I go to her house she says “do you want this jug?” and hands me exactly the same one without me ever saying anything about it.

It's called Entanglement Theory - quantum physics. Don't ask me to explain but I once had a discussion with a uni lecturer and research scientist of the same and he said nothing should ever be ruled out until it is disproven - and it hasn't yet.

Pinkissmart · 12/01/2025 19:15

There were some interesting points being made on the podcast about how time is happening all at once, and that everything is connected. Interesting stuff!

WhisperingJesse · 03/02/2025 12:01

Just came to post about this but did a search first. It is an amazing compelling series and I'm fascinated, but it is so hard to take that leap and really accept it.

Personally though at times I've hoped and wished for it to happen, I've never experienced anything like this. I certainly don't have any gifts in that direction. Which is what makes it harder to believe.

I'm pretty doubtful that the families are being exploited though - sounds like they're desperate for people to realise that their kids are 'in there' and have a lot to offer!
