Leeds city centre restaurants

We are planning an anniversary lunch date in Leeds soon, and would like to book a restaurant in the city centre. My partner is allergic to soya so that would rule out most Asian cuisines. We are looking to spend approximately £50pp. And recommendations?

What sort of food do you like?

I went to the Gino D'Acampo one last year and was surprisingly impressed with the meal quality, service was great too. I don't live there so can't recommend any where else.

For lunch the Cheesy Living does amazing deli platters & wine.

@Eldermillenialyogi all sorts really, but would like to avoid Asian cuisine due to my partner's allergy. Somewhere with a nice atmosphere and good cocktails would be a plus.

It's not really city center but if you'd consider elsewhere in Leeds, Salvos in Headingly is great (Italian) and you could also take the opportunity to call into Get Baked.

We loved The Whitehall when we visited in November.

I can’t speak for the rest of the menu, but the Sunday roast was one of the best we’ve had.

The Leeds brewery pubs are good for a drink (I know the guys who started the brewery)

I'd recommend The Owl. It is fantastic.

Thanks for the recommendations, I have had a look through the restaurants suggested and made a booking at Bibis, thanks @LadyPenelope68
