What am I doing wrong? Cannot subscribe to an Instagram account

I’m trying to subscribe to an Instagram channel (is that the correct terminology?) but I keep getting the attached error message.

I have an iPhone, have checked the App Store - I am logged in to the App Store and have my card details saved - and am using home wifi.

What am I doing wrong?

Nothing. Sometimes it's just a glitch. Just try again tomorrow

Ah, ok, thanks @justasmalltownmum . Except I’ve tried on and off for months and it’s always the same message, so I assumed I was doing something wrong.

OK, I tried again and got exactly the same message.

Any other advice gratefully received.
