Poorly 10yo low temperature

Poor kid has a funny virus I assume that seems to be worse at night. Symptoms are nausea, retching, shivers, banging heart, pacing up and down and not able to settle. Was the same last night but ok in the day. My question is about temperature which is dropping low to 36.2c. I vaguely recall body behaving like this when much younger. But when I look it up hypothermia comes up etc. How low do I need to worry? Paracetamol not helped. Ibuprofen made sick.

Does anyone know anything about this? She's acting like she's feverish, hallucinating, but teeth chattering and thermometer showing 36.2c.

You need to call 111 immediately. Also test the thermometer on yourself.

Normal body temperature is between 36.5-37°C. So it isn't thst low but I would be aware because she presents poorly.

How is the temperature taken? rectally, forehead, ear?

Call 111. Better safe than sorry.

I would call 111 or take her to A&E/ urgent care OP, to be on the safe side

Call 111 or if a very young kid, go to A&E if you think he/ she looks really unwell. Look up the signs for sepsis

How long has it been going on?

The "nausea, retching, shivers" just make me think norovirus/gastro.

The "banging heart, pacing up and down and not able to settle" makes me think anxiety (can also include nausea).

It sounds viral but I personally would rather be safe than sorry and called 111.

What’s her normal temperature?
I run very low naturally- 36.2 is a fever to me. I sit around 35.1 normally. It’s rare but not unheard of.
