Reserve list civil service

Hi I have received an email placing me on reserve list for 3 months.
I have seen other posts for 6&12 months so do I stand a chance at 3 months?

A0 position with DWP, really thought I'd smashed the interview as had really positive feedback during interview. A week after interview I received an email asking me to confirm my location preference, so I really am a tad gutted.

There were over 200 positions available and my colleague has been offered which I am made up for them but feel like I could not have done any more and with the preference email I really did have my hopes up

Hi op, I was offered a Job from CS reserve list 2 months after the interview so its definitely a possibility. With a large number of posts like 200 presumably there's more chance of people dropping out too.

Thank you, maybe a glimmer of hope.

I pulled out of a CS job just before Christmas. It was relatively senior so hopefully someone else who wanted it was offered it.

With a big campaign in multiple locations you’ve got a decent chance of an offer within a couple of months as others drop out. Especially if there’s a security clearance needed. Depends on how popular that location is. In campaigns I’ve run all the London reserve list get offers but the popular northern cities much less.

Fingers crossed for you! There's lots of movement at this stage, I've read a bit on the Reddit forum for C/S and lots of people said they got offered it further down the line.

@Lll898 have you any further update on your OP? I am in the exact same position. My interview feedback was excellent but on the reserve list, even though there were multiple roles. Would love to hear what happened next with you.x

@buildingabetterme I received an offer in March but took until early July to complete on boarding.
Fingers crossed all works out for you x

@Lll898 thank you. Sorry another question, was it for the position you applied for or another role? Oh, and how are you enjoying it? Congratulations on getting there! X

@BuildingABetterMe I was offered the role I applied for but in general it seems a 75/25 mix of offered applied for and then a suitable position

Good atmosphere and enjoyable ,work load high but where isn't it
