Jean Sizes

I need to buy some new jeans, I usually buy a clothing size for example a size 8, but all the jeans I see on Asos are in sizes like 25, 26, 27 28 - How do I know what size to buy?

I have tried to google but I can't get any consistent advice.

There size charts don't tell me anything helpful either!

Might have to stick with my new look usuals.

26 is an 8
28 is a 10
And so on

Presumably it relates to waist measurement?

I just bought some from lucy and yak and they say a 10 is a 28

Yes...ISH. I have a 34" waist, but wear size 12 or 32" in jeans. With lycra in jeans the stretch a loooonnngg way! In those sizes I still can pull the waist out, they still fall down, and are very, very, baggy in the leg!

I think I might have to go to an actual shop - I hate going to actual shops!
