I have been using dovobet for 3 years now. I have used approx 3 or 4 tubes 30g eachin the last 3 years. For small patches of inflamed skin under my boobs and on my back. I have patches on my knees too that don't ever clear up.

I used it alot for the last month to control a flare. I stopped using it 6 days ago. I now have itchy red raw patches with a rash all over my chest and back

Should I start using dovobet again and wean off it slower? It's spreading and I don't like it!

Hi. I've had Topical Steroid Withdrawal. I really hope you can avoid it, or get through it quickly.

I went cold turkey on steroid creams, as weaning down is still feeding the skins addiction. And by the time you're at TSA it's beyond weaning and the skin needs to go through the withdrawal process. I used no moisturiser at all and when it was slightly better had UVB light therapy through the NHS.

There is so much good advice and personal experiences on the TSW- Red skin syndrome Facebook page. I couldn't have coped and wouldn't have understood it without them. Dermatologists are not experts and do not give good advice around this area. They continue (in general) to prescribe steroids and then immunosuppressants for TSW. It's only a recently (and horrific) acknowledged syndrome and the NHS has not figured out the healing. But you can heal and have decent skin.

Do message if I can help- but the Facebook groups are a lifeline.
