I am indulging myself and watching Vicar of Dibley.

Just watched the episode where Darcy Bussel is in. I am certain that the original episode had a ending where Hugo is receiting a poem
However, no.repest I have seen has this in it. Does anyone else recall this and know.what.tbe poem was?

I have tried Google.but without luck.

I dont think it is a poem... its a song by the Everley Brothers isn't it?

Could be a song I just recall the last sort of interlude Geraldine saying he was rather spectacular tonight and then he does this reading. However, I can't find it anywhere.

I know exactly what you mean, I have the DVDs so I've seen it a few times. I would guess when they show the repeats on telly they can't get the rights to the song so have to omit that bit.

That's a shame as I recall really loving that part. It's one of the few times that allow Hugo to.not be silly.but "real"

I agree, it's a very sweet moment.

Thank you so much! I had reached the point where I thought I had vividly dreamed this ending because I can't find evidence of it anywhere. It was the lyrics of 'Let It Be Me'. So glad to know I've not gone mad!
