Happy new year! What’s everyone up to today?

Peace has descended here, DS, DDIL and the DGSs have gone to visit friends in Bristol so I’m having a quick coffee and catchup.
So far I’ve done a load of washing (definitely not superstitious here!), made a fish pie for tonight, filled the dw and put it one, tidied the kitchen and potted up a baby aloe plant for Dgs1.
DH can have egg and chips for lunch, I will finish off the rather delicious potluck soup I made yesterday 😋.
DHsays he’s walking the dog, though neither of them are showing much inclination to do so, it’s bucketing down, very windy and cold outside.
A nice quiet afternoon doing more needlework I think.
