They seem to be everywhere!
Well, at least all the houses I visited over the festivities had at least one somewhere in residence.
DC received one as a gift so now we have one too.

Love them or hate them?

Love them! Got a few gonks around the house now!

I don't understand the point of them. And yet people persist in giving them to me. I am not a gonky person.

I really like them. The dc love it when they come out and we seem to have about 10 of varying sizes now. Better than the elf surely?

Like them lots, but anything can be overdone and the shops do seem a bit saturated.

I’m sure Gonks were round not cylinders? My mum had a collection of them at my nan’s, fuzzy round things I’m sure.

Love them. My son just drew me a gonk tattoo on my forearm and one on his own leg. (In pen he is only a tween and so not loose with actual tattooing equipment)😂

Love them! We have collections for all seasons they compete with our skellys for the seasonal changes (they get hearts for valentines, shamrocks for Paddy's day, hares or eggs for Ostara and some even go tropical for summer. We also have a designated birthday gonk who sits on the birthday person's chair with their main present and waiting in the morning of their birthday. However my favourite skeleton delivers the cake on a plate wearing a party hat saved from crackers. (Yes I fully accept that we probably need help but little amuses us when life is generally shit!)

DM called Trolls "gonks" which infuriates me, which is ridiculous. I found out about 3 years ago she damn well knows the difference and does it JUST TO ANNOY ME! Which I admire her for - a 50 year old long joke. Well played Mum.

Snap! I was 12 in 1970, too. I also had quite a collection. I had no idea they were a thing again.
