Positive stories of getting a lost phone back from an Uber trip .......

lost it in cab yesterday on way to hospital ,

have managed to leave a message( i think) i have offered to pay him for his time to come back to me .

will i ever get it back again ?

didn't realize how much is on it and how much i use it .

on laptop now.

suppose i need to cancel lots of things linked to my phone.

trouble is .....it wants to send authorization code to my phone number !!!!

DH left his iPhone in a taxi one night. He phoned it repeatedly and the guy did answer, he also tracked it on find my phone and told the guy he was going to come and collect it. The guy obviously didn’t realise we could track the phones whereabouts and the guy went off and about at the arranged time to collect. The guy got a bit of a shock when DH started messaging the phone saying ‘why are you on x street when you said to meet at Y?’
He got it back. Good luck

Yes, another positive story here. I dropped the phone in a public car park. Some Angel found it and popped it into a nearby shop. Now I am super careful and the phone is in a tiny shoulder bag on my shoulders,

Can you track it?

Lots and lots of people are honest. Chances are the uber driver is too. Can you leave a message with a phone number on the phone. Has it battery left? Can you keep calling?

Uber driver delivered it back to my mother…

in contact and apparently the driver has my phone and they have given me his number. He is just not answering right now !!

He was possibly working a really late one last night op, he might not have got in until 4/5am or he may be having a New Year’s Day family lunch or something.
At least you know he’s got it so you can get it back.

lovely driver phoned me and came around and did not want to take the money i insisted on giving him for his troubles .
