If we're going to buy into the gender definition then there's no way of telling until your DD or DS shows signs of kicking against sex stereotypes. At that point they'll be told that they're really the opposite sex and want to change their name to Alex or Chris or Sam and dye their hair blue.

In order to avoid this, it's best to tell your DS or DD (because it's one of them), that they can dress as they please, play with the toys they please, and you'll love them however they behave.
