Mine is to move from a house to a flat in preparation for retiring. I need to get it done!

I need to shift some weight.
I say this every year

Axalotl · 01/01/2025 00:24

Less phone time! It's very needed!!

catphone · 01/01/2025 00:25

Why would you move from a house to a flat? Your peace and quiet is dependent on everyone in the building

Newyear2025 · 01/01/2025 00:27

Get a social life, lose weight and find some ways to make friends without any childcare.

Cudz · 01/01/2025 00:34

To win at least £1 million on the lottery! 🙌

MessyNeate · 01/01/2025 00:35

Back on the treadmill daily! I stopped after our wedding in sept and regret stopping!

Optigan · 01/01/2025 00:36

I want to rediscover my creative side. It has really fallen to one side in the last couple of years. I used to love having a project on the go so I mean to restart.

the80sweregreat · 01/01/2025 00:37

Yep, I'd love a few mill on the lottery
All those people I could help
( won't happen though )

StarDolphins · 01/01/2025 00:40

Cuddle my DD more (I’m just not a huggy type!), cuddle my dog more (he’s 13 & I’m aware how little time he might have left).

Other than that, enjoy my life, drink Prosecco when want, eat nice food & save a bit, spend a bit!

WoahThreeAces · 01/01/2025 00:41

Learn piano
Spanish lessons
Find Joy

HappiestSleeping · 01/01/2025 00:50

To not make any new year's resolutions.

Incakewetrust · 01/01/2025 00:51

To be kinder to myself.

Wendysfriend · 01/01/2025 00:52

To drink more, have more holidays and learn how to make Sushi

dothehokeycokey · 01/01/2025 00:53

Get back to walking more again.

I work at home so don't leave the house four days a week and I didn't realise how small my days have become.
I have a sociable job seeing and talking upto 10 people some days but I feel like a caged animal by the end of the week

And get bak to reading more real books.
I've bought two very different ones so can read either depending on my mood that night

What a wonderful goal!

Emilyjayne9421 · 01/01/2025 00:59

To be kinder to myself
To qualify as a solicitor (final exams next month)
To have more fun with my kids
To have a better sleep routine and to read more

Maurora · 01/01/2025 01:01

I did parkrun Christmas Day and managed 30 mins... It's been about 9 years since I last took part and I've lost about a min a year lol. My goal is to get back running in 2025 and dip below 20 min parkrun by NY 2026 as I'll have just turned 50 in December 😂

Ponderingwindow · 01/01/2025 01:06

I really don’t want to say weight loss, but I started injections 2 weeks ago so that is definitely a goal.

my real resolution is to spend as much quality time with my daughter as I can. University is coming surprisingly soon and she is just getting busier and busier.

Buxomblondie · 01/01/2025 11:48

Mine is to do whatever I want as long as it's legal, doesn't hurt anyone, and budget allows etc.

Get a social life, lose weight and find some ways to make friends without any childcare.

Gaming is one way to achieve that.I have made two great friends through an online multi-player game and even though I haven't participated in that particular one for two years, we've stayed in touch.

Personally, I have a lot of goals this year. None require a huge lifestyle change, but each is pushing me out of my comfort zone a little, which, hopefully, makes the lot achievable. A few are just enhancing things I'm already doing.

I spent the best part of NYE preparing a bullet journal to keep track. I will not put my goals on here - not because I think they're outing, but because every time I haven't just quietly started my resolutions, but instead told the world about them, I've failed. Conversely, I have achieved almost everything I set my mind to quietly.

Good luck everyone!

itsgettingweird · 01/01/2025 13:40

To make it to 2026!!!

I'm done with resolutions. I can't cope with the pressure of sticking with them.

So I plan to live my life for a year and hope to see 2026 🤷‍♀️

Because when you're getting on and live alone, house maintenance becomes a real burden.

@Emilyjayne9421 good luck with your exams. That's one busy life you have there! @StarDolphins I love your hugging resolutions.

To finish some of my WIP's! I have a yarn room and more yarn than I will ever have time to make things with and I'm awful for starting something and not finishing it!

wendywoopywoo222 · 01/01/2025 16:53

To be more patient with people.
