Do anyone else think this film is scary and disturbing for a PG !?

I remember the original scared me to death as a child ! I wondered if this one would be less disturbing, but it isn't !

It was so awful. Some scenes were lifted straight from the 1990s one but were done badly. I know both films were based off a book but there's still room for creativity! I quit it after 30 minutes or so.

@LisaJohnsonsFacebookMole is it really crap? I was going to watch it later, I loved the original .

Marsh212 · 31/12/2024 16:08

For me , it's quite similar to the original which makes me wonder why they bothered to re make it.

I don’t like it and I think the few changes they made were unnecessary. I feel the depiction of the hands is insensitive

CandlesOrangesRedribbon · 31/12/2024 17:09

Horrid and too scary with mom of the original charm

BeeLight · 31/12/2024 17:11

I started watching it with my son a couple of years ago and he thought it was way too scary.

Notrynajudge · 31/12/2024 17:13

I just saw a glimpse of this as I was putting on the TV. A girl was turning into a chicken and looked positively demonic. Awful shite to let DC watch.

Britpopbaby · 31/12/2024 18:11

I’m not watching as the original is very good.

Marsh212 · 31/12/2024 20:27

I have been looking at the cast etc of the original and it looks as though it is classed as 12A Family / Horror . I wouldn't have put them two together 🤣

I quite liked it myself. I would have loved it as a child too.

Nessastats · 31/12/2024 20:35

I won't watch it. I have a couple of friends with limb differences and tbh i thought we were past using disabilities as a scare tactic or to depict that someone is evil.
