Getting baby poo smell out of carpet!

Help! My 9 month old did a huge poo on our bedroom carpet 2 days ago and it still smells. He was without a nappy for 30 seconds and it just happened. I’ve wiped up all of the solid matter, washed with washing up liquid and water, and then Dr Beckmanns and some other carpet cleaning foam. It has dried but I can still smell a faint poo smell when I’m up close, it’s a fairly textured carpet so I’ve tried to get into all of the bits but obvs not sure - and it’s brown so no idea if then stain gone: but I’m more concerned about it the smell as if it’s still there surely it means there is still poo in the carpet?! Thanks for reading..,,

this happened to me and I had to get it professionally cleaned because it was so bad and unhygienic to just clean with water.

could you buy a steamer carpet cleaner? They’re quite expensive but if any accidents happen again you don’t have to get the professionals in. 💐

Bicarb of soda then vacuum.

You can hire steam cleaners for the day.

Thank you all - I’ll try bicarbonate of soda & some actual carpet shampoo. Fingers crossed!

The enzyme 'pet stain remover' type of spray might be helpful.
