Normal / GP / walk in or A&E - MMC Trigger Warning

Sorry just need to understand if I should wait this out or not.

D&C a week ago as baby had no heartbeat. Felt unwell over Christmas and GP gave me antibiotics. Bleeding was none for a few days, it’s slowly got heavier to a mild period. Since 6pm ish (nearly 12hrs) the cramping has been crazy needing paracetamol and ibuprofen and I’ve been passing large clots. Is this normal or should I be seeing someone? Not flooding any pads it’s just the clots.

I rang the ward and they said to ring 111 who I’m betting will just send me to a&e (which I want to avoid and they always seem a bit dramatic)

I’d go to A&E with that OP. Those clots look quite large and googling says to go. I wouldn’t bother with 111 as they’ll almost certainly send you anyway.

Not normal OP, you need to be seen asap at A&E. It sounds like an infection which can give you complications

How are you now OP?

This looks a lot like my miscarriage. I hadn’t had a D&C so it looks like you potentially still have some product retained so I would definitely go to A&E.
I went to A&E with mine as I was losing a lot of blood too and they took me very seriously and I didn’t even wait in the waiting room.

Thoughts were retained product and an infection. I have had to stay in for IV antibiotics and a scan. I still feel pretty rough tonight, temp has gone high again and I’m shivering / puking. The last lot of fluids and drugs has worn off, I hope they sort some soon.
