Dinner party veggie and meat

Any ideas what I can do as a dinner party for vegetarian and meat eaters!

Do you think pies would work, one meat and one veggie?

That's a bit dull isn't it!!

Loads and loads and loads of threads on there with "what can I possibly cook for a vegetarian".

Pies don't have to be dull. I would say pies are never dull...

Curry, 1 or 2 meat and 1 or 2 veggie with rice, bread & sides. Mexican - tacos or fajitas with a mix of fillings. Pasta / lasagne, 1 meat 1 veggie. Veggie wellington or tart and a meat one. Charcuterie & cheese. Tagine. Stew / cobbler - a beef one and a mushroom & red wine one. Pizza.

Honestly, there are lots of nice foods that don't have meat in.

I’ve done a meat lasagne and a vegan one for a party. The vegan one was very much preferable. Sorry but I can’t remember what recipe I used. It did have green lentils and chopped chestnuts in it though,

Depending how fancy you want to go, fajitas work well.

All the sides - guacamole, sour cream, salsas, cheese, fajitas veg (peppers, onions, mushrooms, courgettes) wraps etc.

Then do one batch of chicken fajitas and one batch of halloumi. Halloumi fajitas are gorgeous!!

If very casual you could do meat and veggie chillis.

Burritos or enchiladas would work on the same principle.

If you want more make-ahead then meat and veggie "cottage" pies would work.

Similar to the wreath above, you can also do a squash, feta and sage variety ; lots of recipes on-line

I like the look of this!!!

Thanks all for the ideas

I do this curry sauce but half with chicken and half with paneer cheese.

Tagines. One veg with olives. The other meat. Or mexican.

Big slow cooker of veggie chilli, bowl of rice, some nachos and cheese. Could then have a bowl of shredded chilli beef for the meat eaters to add (or just skip the meat? Everyone can just eat veggi)
