Temu surprise

My husband surprised me today with a huge haul of undies and sex toys from Temu. He was trying, I guess, to be fun and sexy and I do appreciate that.

None of the undies fit. They are all suitable for someone who is possibly a size 6/8. I am not a size 8.

The toys I honestly don’t want to use. I don’t trust the materials or mechanics. I’ve read before that chemicals etc are not checked in these items.

When I buy underwear I treat myself. Buy something nice. And when, rather if, I buy a toy, it’s usually by Lelo. I’m fussy.

As I say, I appreciate the gesture but I don’t know how to explain to him that I don’t trust the stuff he’s bought… and actually, Temu also worries me as far as ethics and things like child labour are concerned.

He’s so pleased with himself and excited. It’s the first time he’s ever done anything like this. Already got bits on charge. How can I gently deal with this. Intentions were good.

Make him send it all back. Don’t use any of that stuff. Don’t underestimate the chemicals they use in temu products. They’re not safe not regulated cause cancers and I’m not sure why they can be imported

My partner bought me a bundle from Temu too.. He acted the same but it’s going nowhere near me 😂😂

Love Honey I have no problem with but I don’t trust any toys from Temu.

Why?
He bought you a load of cheap crap, so crap it’s actually unusable.

GroovyChick87 · 30/12/2024 18:13

I wouldn't use cheap and tacky sex toys either. I believe quality is important when it comes to that. And no point keeping underwear that doesn't fit. Tell him to send it back.

LittleRedRidingHoody · 30/12/2024 18:14

OMG Temu sells that stuff? 🤢 That would be a hard no from me.

Flutterpony · 30/12/2024 18:15

He’s opened it all and I don’t think it can go back. I feel a bit sorry for him. I know it was cheap. He’s just so happy with himself. I’m about to tell him it’s all fit for the bin.

I know. This is what is worrying me. No way I’d use.

Well, just for a laugh u could get "creative" with small sizes and make up something a bit weird to wear as a one-off amusement.

But toys - erm, no.

LarkinAboot · 30/12/2024 20:17

Look I'm with you 100% on the ethics of that place concerning slave Labour and it's now known some of the eyes in their synthetic fabrics/ plastics are potentially poisonous even carcinogenic.Just be polite, give your other half a big hug ..tell him you REALLY appreciate how he's thought of you & that you'd rather even have the fun of looking with him online at the likes of Lelo's website & turn it into a bit of foreplay just looking together ...then day you would rather have one great pair of knickers & just one quality toy..I find men love gadgets ..give them the latest Dyson & they'll want to Hoover the room ..some I've found sexually threatened by vibrators😆😆😆so least you've got a good one there who cares about YOUR sexual needs x
