Belly pork and rice

Macaroni cheese with chicken thrown in. Haven't had it in ages and was lovely!

M&S dine-in chicken thing with spinach gratin, and crispy broccoli done in the air fryer. There was a sticky toffee pudding to go with but we’ve left that for tomorrow. A few After Eights as pudding. I was sick all over Christmas and couldn’t taste or smell so feel really cheated.

SpicyMarge · 30/12/2024 00:14

We weren’t at home for Christmas so didn’t have any leftovers so tonight I did a mini Christmas-type dinner:
Roast chicken
Gammon
Sage and garlic bread stuffing
Cheesy cauliflower
Roast potatoes
Sprouts
Yorkies
Gravy

Going to turn the leftover chicken and ham into a pie for NYE.

Roast beef, chips, homemade bearnaise, carrots and purple sprouting. Then fruit salad and homemade brownies, followed by cheese (very strong Cheddar and beautiful Chaource) and grapes.

We had friends round.

Thursa · 30/12/2024 00:19

We will be finishing the Christmas dinner leftovers today.

Jacket potatoes with a random selection of cheese, beans, veggie haggis, pigs in blankets, sugar snap peas, sausage rolls and beetroot and apple slaw. Finished the turkey yesterday.

CharSiu · 30/12/2024 03:30

I am home alone so decided not to cook.
Five cream crackers with Brie, a scotch egg, 2 blackberry yogurts, a raw carrot.

Can you post a recipe please 🙏 sounds lovely!

I'm afraid I bought the Wellingtons! They were from Lidl - highly recommended as the pastry was perfect and the cheese and spinach in just the right proportions.

Katesboots · 30/12/2024 10:05

Homemade crab cakes, skinny fries and salad.

Ginkypig · 30/12/2024 11:54

I’ll keep an eye out for them next time I’m in Lidl thanks @YesExactlyYes

Sausage red pepper tomato pasta last night, we needed something none Christmassy! We will eat a "normal" dinner again tonight, then NYE buffet tomorrow. We will have a dinner on NYD, but different to Christmas, pork instead of turkey, and with different accompaniments.
