Chicken and feta tray bake. Followed by a random assortment of various desserts.

Roast beef, yorkshire puds, sprouts, cauliflower, carrots and roast potatoes.

This, but with the addition of honey roasted parsnips. Lovely thick gravy made with the meat juices.

sprigatito · 29/12/2024 21:27

Roast lamb, garlic mini roast potatoes, peas, French beans and gravy.

About to have St Clements trifle for pudding.

Dinner as in main meal of the day.....whatever time you eat it!

Don’t worry I think (hope!) the majority can infer! 🤭🤣

We had a chicken satay with rice, was lovely.

MonopolyQueen · 29/12/2024 21:35

Home-made Slow-cooker Beef casserole using up the 8p carrots and shallots from Lidl. With mash, green and dumplings.

It was cheap because I’d bought a piece of silverside for £6.50 in the pre-Christmas special offers and chopped it in half and froze it. So it made two casseroles, and much nicer than the stewing steak I normally shell out for which is usually scrappy tiny pieces.

OatFlatWhiteForMePlease · 29/12/2024 21:36

Spicy prawn satay noodle salad.

Taytocrisps · 29/12/2024 21:38

Lamb shanks, roasties, stir fry veg in soy sauce and some sprouts.

ItsAStupidQuestion · 29/12/2024 21:39

Been out all day with the kids so I just did sausages, mash, veg and a massive Yorkshire pudding to share with onion gravy.

Trifle for dessert.

Stickthakettleon · 29/12/2024 21:53

Deluxe macaroni and cheese, homemade, and jalapeno and cheese sausages with whole wheat dinner rolls and butter.
Oh and DH, who I can never fill up, had a big steamy bowl of the turkey veg soup I made today.
Jelly and whipped cream for afters.

BigDahliaFan · 29/12/2024 21:57

Tesco Thai fish cakes, chips and a salad. I've just chucked the last of the leftovers....

LunaNorth · 29/12/2024 21:57

DH made spag bol, which was very welcome when I came in freezing from the livery yard.

Had some Reese’s pieces leftover from an advent calendar afterwards.

YesExactlyYes · 29/12/2024 21:58

Spinach and cheese Wellingtons with potatoes. I've had enough meat over Christmas so fancied something vegetarian.

Grumplechops · 29/12/2024 22:01

Salmon en croute with veg

frozendaisy · 29/12/2024 22:01

Been full on garlic chilli ginger spice hits last two nights here (can only do x3 days max of potato meat cheese).

There was some wholewheat Chinese noodles involved as well

Middlemarch123 · 29/12/2024 22:01

Family here for buffet.
My chilli, rice, wedges, garlic bread, salad, homemade coleslaw. Huge cheese board with crackers. Tiramisu, cream, cheesecake, ice cream, nibbles, chocolate.

All very full and lots of laughs! Playing Twister on a full tum isn’t recommended!

ghostbusters · 29/12/2024 22:27

Cullen Skink, or smoked haddock and potato soup for those unfamiliar with this Scottish delicacy 😁

SauvignonBlonk · 29/12/2024 22:29

Roast leg of lamb, roast potatoes, parsnips, broccoli, sweetcorn, mangetout, Yorkshire puddings and lashings of gravy and mint sauce. It’s Christmas dinner here as DD came home. We also had crackers 🎉

YYURYYUCICYYUR4ME · 29/12/2024 22:30

Chicken stew, with pearl barley

WalterdelaMare · 29/12/2024 22:31

Finished the last vestiges of a truly great turkey yesterday ( pots of soup now in the freezer) so had the last remaining Xmas purchase of smoked salmon with scrambled eggs. Maltesers for pudding.
