Is London or Edinburgh good for a city break for me and my 7 year old?

Thinking of booking a city break from Dublin to either London or Edinburgh for me and my 7 year old. Any recommendations? Which would be better? How would you fill a weekend in these places? Thanks

If it's a midwinter trip I'd say London as there is so much to do inside:

London is better for that age group. Have you considered Legoland in Windsor or Warwick Castle? Both have great themed hotels and may be more child friendly.

Both are great for that age. We have a weekend in Edinburgh most years as it’s only 90miles away and London every few years.
