Toddler Friendly Hotel NYE

Hi! I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a family friendly hotel to go to with my partner and two young children for NYE. We would have some dinner at the hotel, watch the fireworks etc etc… I want something with a nice atmosphere. Ideally in north London or Hertfordshire. Does anyone have any suggestions? I just want to do something special and feeling a bit down as all of our family are away this year for NYE so we are alone

Could you maybe book a luxury cottage or something and do something family friendly and special? Nice food, nice surroundings and some little fireworks? Children can be put to bed when they get tired and you can enjoy the surroundings.

I can't see any hotels being toddler friendly on NYE for the simple reason the majority of people who have gone away will have done so leaving their children at home and probably won't be particularly enthused about then seeing your little ones at their adults night out. Especially when it's late and they will no doubt be fractious/needing bed.

Out and about, it's really an adults evening. Most of places are strictly 18+ on NYE never mind allowing young children.

I'd not take smalls to something like that anyway, they won't enjoy it. You'll be stressed keeping them entertained and other guests will be pissed off at children in adult spaces... it really changes the dynamic.

Have you looked at the luxury family hotel group? I've stayed at the Ickworth in Suffolk and it's designed for families. Not sure how far in advance they fill up but worth a look!

Would the young children be able to stay up for the fireworks? If they’re under 5 I’m not sure they would be able to make it that late and then you’ll be stuck in a hotel room all evening being quiet as so not to disturb them!

I’m not sure how much your toddlers would enjoy something like that? Most hotels would have events aimed at adults not young children. Would they even stay up for fireworks at new years?

why not plan a big day out for New Year’s Day?
