I feel like my coil feels like a tampon ? Has anyone experienced this?

Had a coil fitted 3wks ago and I'm conscious that I can sort of feel it. Like I'm aware it's there. It's not painful..it just sort of feels like you know when your tampon needs changing and you can start sort of feeling it?

I've had 3 coils in the past and never been aware of any of them.

This one was v difficult and painful to put in so I assumed maybe my cervix was a bit sore and inflamed but it's been 3wks now?

Is it possible it's not been inserted deep enough? Has anyone ever experienced this?

That isn’t right, make an appt with whoever fitted it for a coil check. I have never experienced this and I am on my 3rd Mirena.

I often feel mine but I have a prolapsed uterus which descends during the day.

So yes I would get it checked too.
