New Year's resolutions

Is anyone making any actually achievable ones this year?

I have a few in mind:

  • Eating seasonally. I tend to do the same rotation of meals whether it's summer or winter, mainly due to work commitments it's easier to throw the same stuff into the shop each week. However, I know seasonal food is cheaper and as a HCP I am aware our bodies were not designed to be eating things like strawberries in winter. That's a whole other story though so I digress.
  • 2 litres of water daily. I more or less do this anyway but I've noticed the difference when I am slacking, so this is going up the priority list this year.
  • Kids pocket money. Standard amount per month available, as long as they all do what's expected of them (clean rooms, cleaning teeth without being nagged). Deductions for poor behaviour, extra money being able to be earned by doing chores.

Anyone else got any?

To continue to look after myself by regular gym going, regular trips the hairdresser, eating well the majority of the time, pursuing my interests and focusing on my happiness.

Inspired by another poster on a thread my NYR is to 'have more fun'.

I have Fridays off and I want to go swimming and horse riding and to the cinema. Usually I spend fridays ironing and batch cooking but I think there might be room there to do something for me. The Dcs are at school 8 am to 4.30 so somewhere in there i ought to have time.

This is interesting @teaandbiscuitskittles, can you elaborate?

”as a HCP I am aware our bodies were not designed to be eating things like strawberries in winter.”
