In bloody agony! Heading to ooh appointment later on but just wanted to get quick opinions as I'm stumped!
Ball of foot started aching on and off a month ago, past 10 days feeling like I'm walking on a pebble and past 3 feels like glass with aching radiating all top half of foot along with pins and needles, can't stand on it at all. Aching woke me up a few times last night and it's so sore.

I had a verucca I froze off in summer in same place so I had thought it was that coming back but dh suggested it might be a corn? Anyone had any luck removing these yourself - I'm on holiday in 6 days and would love to be able to walk properly! I have corn pads and acid for verrucas but don't want to make it worse. Tia! Apologies for pic!

Maybe it's just me...but I'm not seeing anything at all OP

If its ball of foot pain, maybe its something like sesamoiditis.

It's a hard lump which feels like it's deep in my foot and protruding out, the middle is the whiter part and the size is the circle where it looks dry? Under my fat toe 😭

Wouldn't you be better consulting a podiatrist/ chiropodist?

I'm planning on calling my local one when they open Monday but I'm worried it's some kind of infection with the pain radiating like it is. They won't do anything until an infection has been treated if it is infected.

Its a verrucca. The one you had “removed” left a tiny bit behind and its now grown back.
Get some extra strong bazuka or salactol and start treating it. If you think its gone keep going.

I don't think you need ooh for that, I can't see anything!

Ooh is because I've a fever with the pain radiating through my red hot foot and can't weight bare anywhere near the protruding lump - Just to be clear I wasn't asking about ooh I've spoken to a call handler, a nurse and had a call from a doctor who wants to check for infection. I'm quite happy that i did the right thing in calling and being triaged.

My question was if this looks like a corn or if anyone has had a painful lump like this and what it could be. It's gotten much worse quite fast but the lump was the original symptom. It may well be the verucca wasn't entirely gone and is now feeling like glass in my foot.

It looks very similar to a corn to me, I'd stick on the corn plaster.

Missing the point but I think we have the same sofa 😆.

(I've only seen corns in between toes before, no idea what they look like on the sole of your foot. If you have a fever though could it be gout?)
