New Year overhaul

It’s that time of year right … this Christmas was the first in years that was low key / drama free and gentle. But although I have a full life and ostensibly lots of friends things were too quiet, No visitors and no invitations (on reflection I was too casual? ‘Oh call in any time, we are around’ etc etc

so it’s given me a bit of unstructured reflection time. I have a few days left of leave and will put some of that time towards making a plan.

there are so many areas I could pay attention to

  • about 30kg overweight
  • too much screen time
  • a bit of debt and looming costs with DS at university
  • house needs serious investment (and we don’t have the money)
  • general perimenopausal malaise
  • casually thinking about study personal development

are there good tools / trackers to help with whole life overhaul?

Has anyone, on feeling sad / lonely / out of sorts been able to find their mojo? What tools or plans helped?

I feel the same inertia.

Ummm a new notebook and a written plan always helps me.

HRT made a big difference.

This won’t cover all the bases but is a good starting point. I fill in this booklet every January. It’s a lovely way to reflect on both the good and bad in the past year and look to the future with purpose.

Yes - I think HRT would help - I went to the Doctor last year and she prescribed citalopram instead! I know I am peri even if the hormone test looked okay. Perhaps worth trying again!

Thank you! Will take a look - I project manage for work so there is a big part of me reaching for the secret plan that will help me project manage myself happy if that doesn’t sound too daft
