Are their clothes any good? I’ve never tried them before.

Only seen them in one of their concessions and I think overpriced. Some items seemed OK, others well above pricing of competitors, but nothing grabbed me and I think they depend on mail order clients. Do you have a concession nearby you can visit? They are often sited in garden centre locations.

I have looked at them in a shop. They look great in the magazine but less so in real life .

I think their target market is the more mature cleaner but happy to be corrected 😀

They come up quite big. I only buy in the sales.

What does a cleaner wear that is different to other people.

I buy their stuff sometimes for my mum (aged 90, in a care home) because she used to buy them for herself. I mean, they're OK- hard wearing, quite nice colours. Not exciting.

GoodVibesHere · 28/12/2024 16:56

I agree with a previous poster that the items look nicer online than they actually are in the shop.

BreakfastOfWaffles · 28/12/2024 16:59

I bought a couple of cotton shirts from there. Nice fabric and cheaper than some other places I shop for 100% cotton. But they are quite ageing on me (I am mid fifties), agree they look younger and fresher in the photos than they do in the flesh.

I've got a jacket I bought in the sales last year and I wear it loads, not exciting but practical, good quality and hard wearing.

Choirsinging · 28/12/2024 17:13

I wonder how old the internet thinks I am. I keep getting adverts for them.

Yes that's what I meant

Me, too: mine's 4 years old and still in perfect condition. I wouldn't buy Cotton Traders as a fashion statement 😂 but they're a good call for practical wear. Agree they come up large.

Have you been browsing Mountain Warehouse or similar? Looks like the internet thinks you're in the market for practical clothing!

MrsPringledusts · 28/12/2024 17:47

I have a coat I bought from them must be 15 years old now! It is - by now - my dog walking coat, but it's possibly one of the best coats I've ever had! I like some of their knitwear, which washes well. I'm not very fashionable, I'm not young, and I'm not a cleaner!!!!

Pemba · 28/12/2024 17:48

I bought something for the first time about 2 or 3 months ago, a raincoat. I'm very pleased with it, seems nice quality for the price.

I've given up on them. The general quality is poor and they are a bit on the expensive side IMO.

It was quite a relief when I turned 50 and realised I no longer had to worry if certain brands/styles were 'too old' for me 😆

Ruslandgirl · 28/12/2024 19:50

I wear Cotton Traders clothes all the time but only the original more expensive ranges, because they wash well and last. They do have cheaper "fashion" clothes but they are not worth buying.
