Do you dream a lot?

Some nights I feel like I've had barely any rest because I dream so much and they're often quite vivid. I can remember 3/4 dreams I had last night and I almost feel like I'm not sleeping but just moving from real life to another world for a few hours. Is it normal to have a lot of rem sleep?

All night every night. Always v vivid as well.

Most nights. Sometimes I'll have 2/3 different dreams a night. Usually very vivid and I try to write them down when I wake up otherwise I forget. Some of them are absolutely mental.

No. Can't remember the last time I dreamed anything. I can go several months/years without.

I'm glad I don't. Like OP, on the few occasions when I do remember a dream, I feel like I haven't rested properly and a bit out of sorts.

Every night, multiple dreams that I remember when I first wake up and often wake up during the night and remember the dream I just had, then back to sleep to dream another dream (though one memorable night I kept waking up and then falling asleep again and returning to the same dream, I think it was 5 times I returned to the dream before morning!). I do not get restful sleep.

I usually have one dream per night that I remember properly still later in the day rather than forgetting soon after waking up. They are always such weird dreams too, a recent one was that I had a watch that controlled my breathing, I switched a switch and stopped breathing and I was declared dead but someone flicked the switch again at my funeral and I came alive again. And The Rock was there and my mum broke his many necklaces he was wearing and I had to fix them so he would cheer up enough to get a selfie with me Grin

Last night I spent most of it in a spy team with Manor Solomon, Ruth Jones and Harris Dickinson. Manor’s “injuries” have just been a front so he has more time to spy. Harris and I kept having sex during the missions too. Great dream but absolutely exhausting, I’m knackered.

@Natsku do you have sleep apnea? I do and sometimes dream about not being able to breathe. It is actually literal in that I am not breathing I think.

No I don't, at least never had any reason to suspect I have, but I did notice that the night I dreamt that my blood oxygen dropped below 90% at one point during the night so perhaps I was smothering myself with my pillow when I had that dream. Did have a bit of a cold which also affects it.

It's just bizarre what you can dream up isn't it? They're so random and weird and illogical that even dream I interpretation seems an impossible bit of fun at times.

I guess it will be all the sex that wore you out @EasyComfortDishes 🤣

Interesting question. I have had a few very stressful years with generally poor sleep and can’t remember dreaming much.
But now emerged from that and sleeping much longer but with more vivid dreams.
