Hi,

I am in year 2 of a 3 year pip award, so I am expecting my review forms through anytime now.

has anyone had a recent pip review? If so….

how long did the review process take?
did you have to have a face to face/ telephone assessment?
what was the outcome?

thank you

In December last year they sent me my review forms. I filled them out sent them back in January this year and they were meant to be done and dusted by August this year because that’s when my PIP was going to run out however they just gave me a one year extension in August because they said it’s still taking time to sort it out
Anyway I found out in November that they didn’t need any further information no face-to-face or telephone and I previously had a three year award. They then gave me a five year award enhanced on both which is what I had before and that was that so just because you get a review it doesn’t mean to say they will do an actual face-to-face or telephone but be warned it does take a long time but it doesn’t matter because they continue paying you until they sort it out.

We are waiting. The current wait times are about 12 months for renewals.

Review was done after the award period was over. Covid and other issues caused a delay/backlog I think.

Review itself took 11 months to be completed, apparently that was a normal waiting period this year.

Get someone to help you with it whenever possible like CAB if you do not feel confident undertaking it.

Google videos of other people’s experiences with this, there are a few about.

If you’ve sent it in, give yourself a pat on the back and relax and forget about it for the next 9 to 12 months.

You'll get a twelve month extension as they are so behind.

Make sure you renew things if you can before your current pip expires. CEA cards and Blue badge.

Although we did eventually get a letter saying ours was extended.
