Concentrate on the type of exercise I like doing and forget about the rest
Get into more of a routine as better way for me to get the shit things done
As part of that routine add things I want to do more of like making a curry on a Friday night

  1. Get back into strength training and stick with it. Got up to 200kg in 2022 then spectacularly fell off the wagon. I do have some good residual muscle mass and have already started the routine.
  1. Get a job as just been made redundant.
  1. Keep finances in order - I'd like to have more emergency savings by the end of the year. Concurrent to this, it means having a low spend year. Been pretty good on this front, shopping on Vinted etc. I've become a lot more thoughtful about every purchase.
  1. I started a new hobby - keep this up. Also keep up my listening to podcasts and audio books habit. Less scrolling - get into watching some good dramas instead.

I'm sure there is more but I'll revisit in a few months.

To not feel pressured into doing stuff.
To say NO more.

merryandbrightdelight · 27/12/2024 21:36

More reading

Drinking more water

Sticking to my exercise class twice a week

Eat more healthily with the overall goal to drop two dress sizes

Knowing my limits and not doing everything - I have terrible anxiety and try to please everyone which ultimately leads to myself feeling burnt out or stressed

Stop catastrophizing - my health anxiety spiralled a few times this year, and I want to put it back in its box and take control.

I like this thread, and want to be able to post this time next year that I've managed my list if anyone else wants to update about theirs too 😊

Simplify my life and make time to do things that keep me healthy (including resting and properly switching off).
